Appearance;Tall and slim with long black hair. Usually in a ponytail on top of her head held with a silver etched clasp, then braided and hanging long. Tamaranth wears loose fitting slacks and tunics with a dragon embroidered on the back, and a sword surrounded by vines embroidered on the front. She likes to wear a clock which can become different lengths.

Tamaranth was born on the planet of Tamera. At the age of five it began to become obvious to her parents, Matera and Penelaus that she had extraordinary abilities. Both of her parents were healers, and that was the path they wanted their daughter to follow. Tamaranth was quick to learn and became skilled in healing early. She had an excellent memory for memorizing and learning the properties of medicinal plants.
Often however Tamaranth's parents caught her gazing off at the stars, with a far away expression. They discouraged those inclinations and encouraged her to learn and practice her healing skills. When she was 16 a man arrived on her home world of Tamera. His name was Berdar and he was a Jedi knight. He immediately saw her potential and knew that she was force-sensitive.
Berdar watched Tamaranth treat an injured child and saw the vastness of her skill. He felt strongly however that she could still use that skill yet have so much more. If she were willing to be trained in the ways of the force and become a Jedi. He decided to talk to her parents.
Matera and Penelaus only knew a little about the Jedi and were not pleased with Berdar's ideas. They forbade him to talk with Tamaranth. Unknowingly to them, Tamaranth was in a hidden place listening. After he left, she revealed herself to her parents and argued with them. She wanted to learn to be a Jedi. To use the powers that she knew that she had, but did not understand. Her parents were furious and said that they would disown her if she trained as a Jedi.
Meanwhile Berdar prepared his ship to leave. He could not help but sense that events were troubled at Tamaranth's home, but there was little he could do about it. Berdar was now ready to lift off of Tamera.
After her parents were asleep Tamaranth snuck out of her house and went to Berdar's ship where she stowed away. Quite by accident she had learned how to conceal herself when as a child she had feared being caught stealing fruit from her neighbor's yard.
Unbeknownest to Berdar, Tamaranth was huddled in a small cargo area. After they had hyperjumped and were far from Tamera he discovered her hiding place where she was sound asleep and the cloak had slipped.
Berdar wanted to return her to her homeworld, but she begged him not to. Thus began her training as a Jedi apprentice. When she was only partway through her learning a terrible thing happened. Berdar was killed in a battle with the Emperor's minions. Now Tamaranth wanders the Star Wars Universe seeking a new Jedi Master to aid her in completing her training. The adventure continues...
Perhaps you could join the Independant Olympics but in order to do that I would advise you to first read that Topic in Story Discussion and the actual Event, perhaps post there with a believable argument to join them, maybe you need money, after all even Jedi need to eat, of course that may not happen so if you have a story line of your own post it on Story Discussion so that other people can comment and perhaps join you in it, that will be the Administrator choice however, just trying to help here.
As Kunin suggested the Independent Games might be a good place to start, it's a global RP and most of us are involved so it would be a good way to get your character out there. On the other hand, she might not be interested in taking part in anything like that, it all depends on how you feel.
Check out the Discussions thread and see if there is anything that might interest you. Urik, our resident Jedi Master has been hanging around, perhaps you two could get something up and running.
