Just a quick note to you all regarding the board.

You may notice that following the submission of a post a message appears saying "Unable to perform request. Message does not exist." This does not mean your post is lost. Try refreshing the board or clicking on the Index and it should appear then. I have reported this to the Powers That Be but who knows how long it will take them to get back to me.

Just got this from Support:

There have been a few posts about this and the Admin know about it. As for what's happening. Once you post something, dont do anything, just wait for ~15-20 seconds and then refresh and your post will be there. It seems as if its just a MAJOR lag in the system.

I tried out the MS-DOS system command Ping that comes with XP, and checked out the freeforums.org host server. It seems that about every 20 seconds or so there's a huge massive lag with one or two packets lost.

I guess sometimes a post gets to be those unlucky packets.

The problem seems to have let up somewhat, but like Kri has informed us, there is still some lag going on. Urik has also told me that the board is taking an increasingly longer time to load. Hopefully this will not be the case for much longer and the freeforums admins get on top of things. I don't fancy the idea of having to look around for somewhere new, that is for sure.
