Basics:
Name: Ko’yi Ventaa
(pronounced Ko-Yee Ven-Tar)
Nickname Ko
Species: Twi'Lek
Sex: Female
Age: 23
Homeworld: Ko was born on Ryloth, but grew up on Nal Hutta’s moon, Nar Shadaa.
Occupation: Mercenary/Bounty Hunter. She’ll do anything for a little credit here and there.
Political Affiliation: Independant.
Although she's been recruited many, many times by the Black Sun.
Weapon(s) of Choice: Ko uses an electrostaff with explicit accuracy. She prefers melee weapons to ranged, but she does carry two 434 blaster pistols, which she dual-wields.

Family:
Mother: Koa Ventaa, 39, owner and manager of a cantina on Nar Shadaa. Her cantina houses all kinds of illegal and suspicious creatures, factions and events. She loves Ko, but shows it by smothering her with affection, which Ko detests, so she avoids her mother.
Father: Yim Ventaa, 41, weapons manufacturer and blackmarket salesman on Nar Shadaa. He sells his stolen weaponry through Koa’s cantina. He and Ko get along well, although he disapproves of her gun-slinging lifestyle.
Siblings: Miko Ventaa, Ko’s older brother, works with his father in the weapons manufacturing business, but has nothing to do with the blackmarket sales, and wants no part in it. He and Ko have a good relationship.
Karamalin Ventaa, Ko’s younger sister, is a dancer, who works for a local Hutt. She uses this position to influence him with secret whispers, so her family stay in his good books. Ko does not get along well with her sister.
Extended: Ko’s family back on Ryloth are quite rich, a mining family. There are not many females in her bloodline.
Etc:
Ship:
Ko doesn’t have her own ship. She takes public transport. Because of this she’s often beaten to her bounties and the like. She does, however, pilot small, racing-type vehicles. She’s quite the pod-racer.
Appearance:
Ko is average height, standing at 5’9” with a slender but muscular build. Her legs are strong and lean, her stomach taut, and her shoulders strong and broad. She is a dusty maroon-brown colour, with darker natural rings on her lekku and about her eyes. Her eyes are a startling golden-orange, so vibrant they almost look as though they were glowing.
She wears, predominantly, soft black leather and suede. Her outfit, relative to the rest of the females of her species, is quite modest, consisting of a black, blaster-proof bustier and pauldrons, ankle boots and chainmail. See the picture above for a better description.
Personality:
Ko fits the stereotype of a spacer/pilot/merc/bounty-hunter to a tee. She drinks, gambles, swears and sleeps around. She is a friendly person, provided she’s not on business. She loves men, and they tend to love her. It’s not as though she sleeps around, but men fawn all over her like females over a celebrity pod-racer.
She’s a bit of a loner, but that’s bought on by her job. She doesn’t stay in one place long enough to make friends. She’d love to have someone she could turn to no matter what – it wouldn’t have to be a lover, or even a man, just a best friend. She gets lonely sometimes.
How does he/she deal with anger? Ko’s violent. She will have a tantrum that involves throwing the nearest movable object, punching the nearest hard surface or person, then storming out. She’ll then sit alone, seethe, and drink until her rationality is restored.
Conflict? Conflict is her job. She lives to fight, fights to live, etc. So she takes it with a pinch of salt, puts her ‘professional’ face on, and just does what she has to do.
Loss? Ko would be a wreck if she lost any of her family members. She would probably go all ‘Anakin Skywalker’ on them and seek revenge in the swiftest, most efficient way possible.
What Frightens him/her? She’s afraid she’ll be alone forever. She’s an intimidating figure, so that’s quite a plausible fear – not only could she best most men in combat, but she has quite a headcount under her belt.
What would Embarrass him/her? Ko doesn’t get embarrassed. She’s a very, very confident girl, and she knows what she can and can’t do, so she avoids situations that could possibly be embarrassing.
Are they Judgemental? No.
Physical Capabilities:
Ko’s mental with an Electrostaff. It’s like she was born with one in hand. She’s also very flexible and acrobatic, the type of fighter to run up walls and stuff like that. She’s also known for her fast reflexes. She’s swift, got great hand-eye coordination, and can dodge almost anything.
That said, she’s quite weak. Her pain threshold is low, and she’s easily defeated once you get a hit in. Which is difficult in itself, but once she’s been hit once she’s pretty much a pushover.
History:
Ko’yi was born on Ryloth to parents Koa and Yim, their second child. She had a good childhood – her family is stable, middle class, and opposed to selling their own children to slavery, thank the Force. Soon after her younger sister was born (Ko was three when this happened) the family moved to Nar Shadaa, where her father had been offered a job in a weapons manufacturing facility, said to be under the control of the Black Sun, although this theory has never been proven.
From age three she grew up on the Smuggler’s Moon, living in a comfortable apartment above her mother’s Cantina. As she grew older, she spent a lot of her time on the streets with other children her age, and before long this close-knit group of friends turned into a small time crime gang. Pick-pocketing and scamming their way to ‘riches’ (50 credits was considered a fortune to these kids), they soon became split up by their parents, and Ko became a loner.
When she was 14, she began work as a serving girl in her mother’s Cantina. She noticed, for the first time, the clientele of the place. Bounty Hunters. Smugglers. Mercenaries. Criminals on the run. She would often survey the place, drinking in the awesomeness of all these patrons, longing one day to be part of that gambling ring or this duelling circle. This was how she came across Maka S’yann, a female Falleen mercenary. When Ko was 17, Maka became a patron of the Cantina. She talked with this woman, nightly, for the whole three months she stayed in town, listening to her tales and picking up tips about the business. When Maka S’yann finally left, she’d made such an impact on Ko that Ko decided to follow in her footsteps. She left the cantina and started on her own life of interstellar hire. _________________
